Fiona Dernikovic
Managing Director | Principal Solicitor
Fiona is a senior lawyer with over 16 years’ experience practising in commercial disputes, corporate law, property and leasing, financial services and superannuation, and wills, estate planning & probate.
Prior to establishing Fioro Legal, Fiona was a Solicitor and Senior Associate at global firm, Herbert Smith Freehills, for 11 years, advising prominent organisations, including Westpac Banking Corporation, Suncorp, QBE, Tabcorp, GPT Group, DP World Australia and AusNet Electricity, on a wide range of commercial matters.
Fiona regularly represents clients in commercial disputes and litigation, regulatory investigations and mediation. During 2018, Fiona assisted Westpac Banking Corporation on its response to the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.
Fiona also advises in relation to regulatory obligations and associated risk and compliance measures, particularly in relation to modern slavery, whistleblowing, AML/CTF and privacy regimes. Fiona also has commercial experience, including as the Executive Manager to the Chief Risk Officer of BT Financial Group.
Given her background in financial services and superannuation, Fiona also advises individuals and families in relation to wills, estate planning and probate matters.

Julia Hall
Senior Solicitor
Commencing her legal career at international law firm, Allens, Julia worked in their Perth, Sydney and Hong Kong offices as a solicitor and senior associate across a broad range of commercial and banking and finance matters. Julia also worked as a solicitor in the Office of the General Counsel at Macquarie University for 5 years and, more recently, consulted to junior mining company, Megado Gold Limited, managing its listing process on the ASX.
Julia currently consults to The College of Law (NSW), assessing students enrolled in their Practical Legal Training Course, particularly in the areas of ethics, commercial and corporate, banking and finance and administrative law.
Julia is an accomplished linguist, speaking Spanish (conversationally fluent), Japanese (spoken and written competent), French (beginner) and German (beginner).
Julia works across our corporate and commercial, property and wills & estates practices.
