Fiona Dernikovic
Managing Director | Principal Solicitor
Fiona is a senior lawyer with over 13 years’ experience practising in commercial disputes, corporate law, financial services and superannuation, property and construction law and estate planning & administration.
Prior to establishing Fioro Legal, Fiona was a Solicitor and Senior Associate at global firm, Herbert Smith Freehills, for 11 years, advising prominent organisations, including Westpac Banking Corporation, Suncorp, QBE, Tabcorp, GPT Group, DP World Australia and AusNet Electricity, on a wide range of commercial matters.
Fiona regularly represents clients in commercial disputes and litigation, regulatory investigations and mediation. During 2018, Fiona assisted Westpac Banking Corporation on its response to the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.
Fiona also advises in relation to regulatory obligations and associated risk and compliance measures, particularly in relation to modern slavery, whistleblowing, AML/CTF and privacy regimes. Fiona also has commercial experience, including as the Executive Manager to the Chief Risk Officer of BT Financial Group.

Sally McDonald
Senior Solicitor
Sally is a senior lawyer with over 13 years’ experience split between private practice and in-house roles. Sally worked for many years as an Associate and Senior Associate at large firms in Sydney and London, advising on corporate transactions, acquisitions, capital raisings and property & leasing matters. Sally also spent 6 years as in-house counsel and co-company secretary for ASX-listed Lynas Corporation and as in-house counsel for DP World Australia, advising in complex contracting arrangements, supply chain issues, acquisitions, corporate governance, disputes, and risk & compliance.
Sally understands that in-house legal teams are expected to advise on a broad range of legal issues in a fastpaced commercial setting and often with limited resources. At Fioro Legal, Sally draws on her own experience as in-house counsel to deliver practical and efficient client-focused legal services.

Marion Wright
Solicitor
Marion is a solicitor with experience in litigation, regulatory investigations, property & construction law, and wills & estates.
Marion assists clients with all aspects of court proceedings and also drafts and reviews commercial agreements, including supply agreements, leases, confidentiality agreements and business policies. She also assists with the firm’s property, leasing and wills & estates practices.
